I put up a picture of a new kosode I made last month.  I was really proud of it since it was both my first time working w/ plaid as well as my first pieced project.  I got a few compliments on it at the event I went to as well.  I'm hoping for a few more at the next event in a couple of weeks.

Speaking of the next couple of weeks...  I have 2 client orders to finish by the 22nd.  Well technically one needs to be done by the end of this week since it has to be mailed back to him.

Today's uploads are items I'm using to make his order.  Enjoy!

I put a few more things up the other night.  Nothing special really, just a couple things I had lying around and a new photoshop project.  

*sigh*

How do people learn to draw?  I mean SpaceCoyote even posted an example that improvement is possible, but how do you GET THERE?  She even says "as my teacher would say, "Practice does not make perfect -- PERFECT practice makes perfect." If you keep doing things the wrong way over and over again, chances are, you won't go far."  So how do you learn the right way?  Who teaches real drawing and not just still life or copying models?

Writing something just so I have a new entry.  

I uploaded a few things since I last wrote.  Nothing big or special.  Just some random crap I came across or made up lately.  I really have to start making backups of my photoshop files.  You know like brushes and textures and stuff.  I had several gradients and patterns that I lost when I had to reformat and reinstall windows.  All the stuff I've downloaded I've thankfully kept in a separate folder and then copied to PS, so now that my bookmarks have been wiped out too, I don't have to go find them all again.

Well here's hoping I can put everything back together again.

My super-secret guilty pleasure is well written DBZ fanfics, and my ultimate weakness is the great maned Raditz.  

Finding all the great art for him on DA has just been wonderful, along with all the other great art.

I've been feeling very creative lately, and I'm trying to draw a bit, but I'm kinda all over.

I have an older Raditz art I'm going to scan in the morning.

I actually put some stuff on my page today.  I'm kinda nervous about it, cause I personally dislike most of my work and think it's crap.

My hands and feet in the items I put up are really bad, but I noted that in the comments.  I've been watching out for that in newer pieces.

Trouble is my newer pieces aren't really that much better - if at all - than what I put up today.  

People tell me "you to practice more."  I HATE that.  Mainly because I don't know what I need to practice more and people don't tell me.  I get so frustrated I quit drawing altogether for a while, until I forget how frustrated I got that I couldn't make progress and try again.

I've always been able to learn new things and become fairly good at them just be reading books and doing it a bit.  I keep reading books and putting pencil to paper, and I keep getting nothing back...  It's really infuriating to me.

To anyone who says they can't draw, if your work is better than mine (highly likely) I envy you, and so do many others who can only aspire to your level.
